Halle Berry Shut Down in Custody Battle

Halle Berry just lost big in court. A judge has ruled that she cannot permanently move her 4 year old daughter, Nahla, to France where Halle wants to live with her fiance Olivier Martinez.

Halle has been fighting tooth and nail with her baby daddy Gabriel Aubry to bring Nahla to Paris. She argued the L.A paparazzi scene made life in California too dangerous for her and her daughter.


The full details of the ruling are unclear but one thing is for sure, Halle did not get what she wanted.

Halle Berry had said from the beginning she never wanted to remove Gabriel from Nahla's life, she merely believed France would be a safer option for everyone involved.

MOBO Awards 2012: Camp Mulla's Fate and List of Winners

The 2012 MOBO awards took place with Kenya being represented by Camp Mulla in the best African Act category. The stars were out in force on the red carpet with big names like Emile Sande and Rita Ora leading the way. Oh and speaking of Emile Sande, she also won a lot of stuff, namely Best female act, Best album and Best R&B/soul act.

Other winners include Plan B for 'Best Male Act' and JLS, who got the prize for Best Video for Do You Feel What I Feel. Camp Mulla lost their category to D’Banj but the Katenga News team is full of congratulatory messages to them for making us proud and representing.

The Hip Hop star poses with his father, jazz musician Olu Dara, for Gap’s new 2012 holiday campaign. The advertisement is a part of a series of ads with the theme, “Love Comes In Every Shade.” 

Nas and his father’s segment is titled, “Fatherly Love” and there will be other advertisements starring Michael J. Fox and The Cast of NBC’s The New Normal that will focus on “Puppy Love”, “Modern Love” and “Best Friend Love.”

Obama's Tweet Tops Justin Bieber

It's official. Prez Obama is a certified superstar and we got proof.  President Obama election-night tweet retweeted more than Justin Bieber's tweet.

A photo of President Barack Obama hugging first lady Michelle Obama tweeted by the Obama campaign on election night has been retweeted nearly half a million times, likely making it the most shared tweet of all time. The tweet--issued shortly before Obama was projected by several networks to be the winner of Ohio--included the image under the caption, "Four more years."

According to AllTwitter.com, the most popular Twitter message before Tuesday was a tweet by Justin Bieber for Avalanna Routh, a six-year-old fan of the pop star who died of cancer.

"RIP Avalanna," Bieber wrote on Sept. 12."i love you."

While President Obama's Twitter feed technically now holds the most popular tweet of all-time, Obama himself does not. Personal tweets from the president are signed "-bo," like the tweet, published several minutes before the photo, thanking his supporters. It read: "We're all in this together. That's how we campaigned, and that's who we are. Thank you. -bo"

That tweet was retweeted more than 141,000 times.

Mariah Carey: Bring It On Home (Tribute to President Obama)

Mariah Carey blesses us with the vocals we’ve all fallen in love with throughout the span of her career in a new tribute to President Obama.  The song, titled “Bring It On Home,”  was written earlier this year and first performed by Mariah in June at a fundraiser event in New York .   Back then, she tweeted that she had just finished performing the track, which she wrote especially for the event, and that she wished she could put it out.

After it was announced that President Obama was re-elected into office last night, Jermaine Dupri posted the song on Global 14 and it began spreading like wildfire.  Mariah sounds amazing on the song while backed by a choir as she sings:

Four More Years; Celebs React

Four more years!

Even though it was a very tense night while watching the votes come in, President Barack Obama was re-elected for a second term last night. It all came down to that swing state of Ohio, but eventually President Obama claimed victory with 303 electoral votes, while Mitt Romney had just 206. The election was also swayed this time around by the Latino vote (the fastest growing minority group in America) with President Obama snagging 72 percent of their support nationwide.  Women were also concerned about healthcare and their reproductive rights which helped the President snag 53 percent of their vote.

Last night, supporters grooved to music by Al Green, Frankie Beverly & Maze, while waving flags in excitement before the president came out to Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed Delivered.”  He was accompanied by Michelle Obama and his daughters Sasha and Malia who he thanked during his victory speech:

I wouldn’t be the man I am today without the woman who agreed to marry me 20 years ago. Let me say this publicly. Michelle, I have never loved you more. I have never been prouder to watch the rest of America fall in love with you, too, as our nation’s first lady.
