Kid Cudi Gives Up Custody Battle Over Daughter

Kid Cudi
's waving the white flag in his bitter custody dispute with his baby mama -- agreeing to let his baby mama take full custody of their daughter ... The custody war has been quietly raging on for over a year -- with Cudi and his baby mama arguing back and forth over who should get full custody.

Cudi said he got a place in Chicago just to be close to his daughter and her mother -- and provided his daughter with generous support -- but his baby mom said that was BS, insisting Cudi was provided "sporadic and inconsistent amounts" of support ... and was an absentee dad. In court docs, she also claimed Cudi has violent tendencies and a "long history of consistent drug and alcohol abuse."

The two parties finally agreed to disagree on August 3rd -- and Cudi let his baby mama take full custody.

In return, she agreed to let him have visitation. Cudi will also pay child support.

We hope the lil angel will be brought up right.

Mitt Romney's Post Election Twilight Date

1118_romeny_article_tmz
There are some advantages to not being elected President of the United States -- like you can go to see the new "Twilight" movie without making a big fuss ... which is exactly what Mitt Romney did this weekend.

The wonnabe Prez was in the company of his lovely wife Anne and two young men. After the movie, Mitt and Ann (with no bodyguards in sight) hit up a pizza place across the street. We're told he was super friendly to everyone, even posing for a few pics.

Little late to try to be a man of the people.

Rihanna Shines In Blue As She Heads For The Tree Lighting Ceremony in London

Despite Rihanna’s insane schedule and the mayhem that erupted on the Rihanna Plane (aka the “777 Tour”), Bad Girl RiRi was still glowing as she appeared outside of her London hotel earlier today.  She was spotted wearing a striped Acne pant suit, blue overcoat and grey pumps as she made her way to the Westfield for the annual tree lighting ceremony.

Earlier this year, it was rumored that she would make 8 million bucks just to perform in front of 20,000 fans that were expected to show up at the tree lighting event.  That $8 mil will definitely help offset the $200k and counting in fees that Ri has incurred from airports around the world for running behind schedule during the past 6 days of her tour.

In just a few moments, she will keep the Unapologetic momentum going as she performs her second show of the day in London, which her fans all over the world can watch via a live stream.

8 Million Bucks for a tree lighting event!!! Congrats ma!

Karrueche Tran Is Going in For the Kill

Chris Brown’s ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran isn’t relying on Chris’ deep pockets to support her lifestyle.  She’s got her own thing going on.

Over the past few months, Kae, along with Chris’s stylist Ugo Mozie, has been promoting that they have something up their sleeve and now it has been revealed that it’s a new clothing brand that they’ve collaborated on titled, The Kill.
The site for the new apparel line, which features tees, skully hats, socks and other streetwear is supposed to launch on 12-12-12.  This is just weeks after Chris Brown launched his new clothing collection, Black Pyramid with Pink + Dolphin.

So far, Kae has tweeted pics of a few crisp white logo tees from the line, and her close friends Chris Brown and Christina Milian have already rocked pieces from the collection out and about.

Alicia Keys Addresses "Homewrecker" Allegations

Keeping that “Girl On Fire” heat blazing, Alicia Keys is JET magazine’s cover girl for their upcoming issue which hits news stands next week. And although she is probably tired of getting asked about the ongoing drama surrounding her allegedly snatching another woman’s husband, she does address it in the new issue.

Ever since 2010, when Swizz Beatz’s ex-wife alleged that her hubby stepped out on their marriage with Alicia, A. Keys’ name has been dragged through the mud and she’s been dogged out for being a homewrecker. Still, Alicia Keys held her head high through it all while brushing off her naysayers.

In the new issue, Alicia tells JET that she chose not to address that past situation because, “there’s no need to fight what’s not true.”
[They] were apart for some time before we ever got together…that doesn’t matter to those who take pleasure in trying to knock others down…there’s no need to fight what’s not true…

She also dishes on why her and Swizzy’s love is so strong:
I’d never met a person where I could be fully myself…Swizz and I live in each other’s shadow. So we can occupy the same space and there is nothing but equality. There’s something really powerful about that.

Speaking of powerful, Huffington Post just named Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz one of their “Power Couples Of The Year.”

Overseas, Breaking Dawn 2 opened well ahead of previous Twilight films in almost every territory.
Directed by Bill CondonBreaking Dawn 2 returns Kristen StewartRobert Pattinson andTaylor Lautner in the lead roles for a final time.

Alicia Keys Covers Complex magazine and Dishes on Finding Herself and Being Guarded

Alicia Keys looks hot on the cover of Complex Magazine as she unveils a brand new Alicia, just in time for her Girl On Fire album release this month.  In the cover story, she reveals why her new track, “Brand New Me” means so much to her as well as why she continues to protect certain aspects of her life.  She also dished on having to let go of a lot of people that she knew for years, how she felt about fellow singer/songwriter Frank Ocean coming out and why she decided to name her son Egypt.

Peep a few excerpts and more pics from the spread below:
On Her Song ‘Brand New Me’
“Don’t be mad that I’m different,” Alicia explains about the song. “Don’t be mad that I’m changed. Don’t be mad that I’m grown. You can’t affect me the way you once did. You can’t be mad. Like, how could you be mad?”
“My favorite part of that song is the bridge. The bridge says, ‘If you were a friend, you’d want to get to know me again/If you were worth the while, you’d be happy to see me smile/I’m not expectin’ sorry. I’m too busy finding myself.’ All of us have had that type of realization: ‘You don’t control me. You might have at one time, but you don’t anymore.’ I love that song so much. It’s so freaking real.”

On Being Guarded
“I mean, what the hell?  The whole freaking world is looking at your s–t. It’s scary. I didn’t want to say every single thing because you don’t want people to know that. There’s personal and there’s public, and I deserve the right to have a personal space.”

On Feeling Caged vs. Feeling In Charge
“Becoming my new self, some people didn’t understand me anymore. Some people who I knew for years—we couldn’t be on the same page anymore. That’s OK because that’s part of growing, too. The hardest thing is to trust yourself, to know that what you’re feeling is valid. A lot of times we dismiss our feelings. I realized that I can trust myself and say, ‘No, I’m not comfortable with that.’ That was the toughest part. When I finally had the bravery to do that, that’s when I started to feel on fire.”

On Frank Ocean Coming Out
“That was super brave and I’m so glad that he wrote it,” she says. “He is the voice for so many people. We’re all boxed in to these stupid things that we’re taught is the way we’re supposed to be and it’s so ridiculous. There are so many people that need a champion to assure them that no matter who you are, you are a beautiful person. That doesn’t change the fact that you’re talented or intelligent. Thank God that we have come to this place where we can actually know and be more open to the fact that people come in all different ways. And that’s great because it’s a very boring world otherwise.”

On Staying Out of the Doghouse In A Relationship
“It’s real easy,” she says. “You stay outta the doghouse by not being a dog. You know what to do. That’s it. Life is real easy. You know what the key is? Honesty. OK, honesty isn’t easy. Honesty can be hurtful. It can be painful. It can be difficult. But honesty makes things easier. ’Cause then you don’t have to go back and do all types of other bulls–t. It’s just better. Trust me.”

On Naming Her Son Egypt
“I took an important trip for myself to Egypt. There were a lot of things that needed to change. I was not as experienced then, so I felt close to a breakdown. I went to Egypt, and I went alone. I sailed down the Nile and I saw the temples, the tombs, and the pyramids. It was powerful.” She adds with a laugh, “It was very Cleopatra.”
When we found out I was pregnant, my husband said, ‘Egypt was such an important time for you. That really changed your life.’ Wouldn’t that be amazing as a name?’ Once he said that, I was like, ‘Yes.’

Hulk Hogan Loses in Sex tape Law Suit

Sorry, Hulk!
Looks like everyone and their nosy mama gets to see you boink your bff's ex for a little bit longer! At least!
After a judge heard Hulk Hogan's argument in court, he ruled against the bandana-wearing wrestler's preliminary motion to strip Gawker's rights to keep it online.
While this may not be the final say in this legal cage-match, it's definitely lowered the bets on Hulk.
Since the judge thinks there's really nothing left to protect of Hulk's privacy (the tape — and his peen — have been seen by basically everyone), he doesn't think pulling the tape now would do any good.
Still, Hulk remains hopeful… for $100M and the wiped-out memory of the planet. Yeah, good luck with that last part!

Robert De Niro Confronts Jay Z at a Party

Robert De Niro does not have time for Reindeer games especially coming from the Jigga man.

According to reliable sources, things got tensed between Jay and Rob De Niro the other night at Leonardo DiCaprio’s star studded birthday bash in New York. The event was stacked wall to wall with all of Leo’s celebrity friends like Jamie Foxx, Chris Rock and Jonah Hill, but things got interesting when Jay approached Robert De Niro’s table to say “Hello.”  Apparently, De Niro had been trying to reach Jay-Z about recording a song for the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year but Jay had been dodging his calls so he wasn’t too happy. According to sources at the event:
“Bob was sitting at a table, and when Jay-Z went over to say hello, De Niro told Jay that he never called him back. Bob wasn’t in any mood to make polite conversation,” the spy says. “He told Jay that if somebody calls you six times, you call them back. It doesn’t matter who you are, that is just rude.”

“De Niro kept telling him that he thinks he’s the man, but that he was disrespectful. Beyoncé came over, but that didn’t calm Bob down. It was the talk of the party. Everyone was saying there’s only one star in New York bigger and badder than Jay-Z, and that’s Robert De Niro. He can be quite scary when he’s angry.”
Sheesh! I would never want to get on De Niro’s bad side.

When his reps were contacted for a comment, they brushed the incident off as just a “low-key private conversation between two people that was apparently overheard. It was not a heated discussion.

New Music: Rihanna featuring Chris Brown, Nobody's Business

Riri and CB
Chris and RiRi keep dropping hints for the media to mind their business when it comes to their love affair, but it’s rather hard when they keep confessing their love for each other on wax.  On their latest collaboration “Nobody’s Business,” which appears on Rihanna’s new Unapologetic LP, Chris and Rihanna pay homage to Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel” while singing to each other like two fools in love.

Rihanna opens the track by singing:
Your love is perfection
Please point me in the right direction
I’ma give you all my affection
Every touch becomes infectious
Let’s make out in this Lexus
There’s no other love just like this
A life with you I want
Then can we become love’s persona
You’ll always be the one that I wanna come home to
Boy let me love you and show you how special you are
I wanna be your baby, you’ll always be my baby
Tell me what you want now

Let’s sing it to the world
Baby give me time, I’ma be your girl
I wanna make you mine
And it ain’t nobody’s business
It ain’t nobody’s business
The Katenga News Team is loving the old school feel of the record. How about you?

Nicki Minaj Talks About the Mariah Carey Feud on "My Truth"

So that drama between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey was for real for real? No publicity stunt here.

Last night on the second installment of Nicki Minaj’s new reality show, My Truth, she was given the opportunity to detail what happened behind-the-scenes of the American Idol drama from her point of view.  While talking to Young Money’s Mack Maine at the studio, she tells him that Mariah kept making a lot of passive aggressive comments towards her which caused her to reach her boiling point and snap.
I just know that I had reached my boiling point.Twenty minutes before that happened, she egged me on and I was like, ‘You know what? Let me go.’ I walked off. I stormed off the stage because I didn’t want to do that. So, I left, and when I came back it was another jab and I said, ‘Okay, now I’m gonna show you…’ She’s admitted that she did not want another female doing the show. Thinking somebody’s coming to steal her shine, nitpicking, and I don’t do well with that passive aggressive s–t. I stay away from mother f–kers. I work and keep it moving. I don’t f–k with the people in the business, but I did the show today and it was good. I made it clear like, if you do that again, I’m gonna do this again. Like, I’m not gonna allow it anymore. I can’t.

She also went in on Barbara Walters for going on The View and telling the studio audience that Mariah told her that Nicki threatened to shoot her.  According to Nicki, Barbara Walters could have called her to get her side but refused to because she’s a little black girl that raps.
I really don’t feel bad for yesterday. Then I hear that Mariah went to Barbara Walters with some more fabrication.  Telling Barbara Walters that I said something about a gun, which everyone knows I’m way smarter than that. Like, wow. I was like, ‘Really?’ My jaw was like open and I was in shock. I’ve never in my life said anything regarding a gun.
I did not say anything right away. I wanted everything to blow over, but you picking up TMZ and Barbara Walters…and now you’ve done opened a can of worms. Am I not good enough for you to get my side because I’m a little black girl that raps? Because if I was J.Lo, you would’ve called J.Lo’s camp. Are we not good enough for you now Barbara? Because you wasn’t even there when I was on the show, Barbara. So I guess I’m not good enough, I’m only good enough to tell people that I’m unpredictable when you don’t f–king know me.
Why would I want to have a rift with someone that I have looked up to my whole life. I’ve loved her. I even told her that in the meeting. I’m happy that Mariah’s on the panel because I think that’s a great thing. You’ve got one of the greatest singers that ever sang ever in the world. Ain’t nothing wrong with that, but the fact that you find something wrong with me being on there? That’s why there’s an issue.
Obviously it’s another ploy to get me off the show.[...]And ain’t nobody gon’ run me off that motha f–kin’ show.

Sidebar: Barbara Walters has defended herself and said that she had Mariah Carey’s home phone number and the only reason why she didn’t contact Nicki was because she didn’t have a phone number for her.

Rihanna Premieres "Stay" on SNL

Mary Jane Riri must be in cahoots with the producers of Saturday Night Live.  She appeared on the sketch comedy show for the fourth time as a musical guest last night to perform her single, “Diamonds” as well as a new track off of her new album titled, “Stay.”

Last week, after previewing the snippets of Unapologetic, “Stay” was definitely a track that stood out.   Although the album version of the beautiful ballad features Nashville musician Mikky Ekko, Rihanna performed the track by herself on SNL. With all the emotion that she pours out in this song, it could possibly be about her still holding on to a past relationship.  She sings:
Ohhh the reason I hold on
Ohhh cause I need this hole gone
Funny you’re the broken one but I’m the only one who needed saving
Cause when you never see the light, it’s hard to know which one of us is caving
Not really sure how to feel about it
Something in the way you move
Makes me feel like I can’t live without you
It takes me all the way
I want you to stay
Peep the performance below:

Lauryn Hill Responds To Wyclef Jean

It looks as though Lauryn Hill has no time for Wyclef and his shenanigans.

Back in September, Wyclef made headlines with the release of his autobiography, titled “Purpose”. In the book, he claimed that Lauryn tricked him into believing that her first child was his baby up until the child’s birth. During promo appearances to promote the book, he also talked about Lauryn’s relationship with Rohan Marley and the demise of the Fugees while claiming that he believed Lauryn was bipolar.

Meanwhile, L Boogie has been quiet during this whole ordeal. During a recent stop in Dallas, as part of the “Life Is Good/Black Rage tour” with Nas, Lauryn subliminally addressed all the chatter surrounding Wyclef and his book, and also explained why she has chosen to take the high road. She said:
When you are on the other side of liberation, just make sure you are not late. Be careful how you judge, there is a lot of deception out there. A lot of misunderstanding out there. A lot of miscommunication out there. A lot of false information out there.  And notice, out of all the people who talk talk talk, who’s the silent one.  There’s a lot of chat, but me….
And you know why? Let me tell you why I don’t chat back.  Because I know that my brothers and my sisters are often times pawns in a bigger scheme so when they, under pressure, attack me, I love them still.  It’s called the high road. Try taking it sometimes.
I’m not going to play my hand like the suppressive system would have me play my hand. Because I know [about] the oppression that took place in Haiti, and Jamaica, and America, and Africa and Europe. So just be patient. The truth always surfaces and especially, all you black folks out there who have had black mothers who carried you through thick and thin, when the system wanted to call them crazy, just remember that…
You know I know I’m not crazy, that’s why I can use the word so freely. Crazy like a fox? Ahead of the curve. People don’t like people that’s ahead of the curve but unfortunately that’s not my problem.
Ooops!!!

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez Split

He's all yours, tweens.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomeza have called it quits, ending their relationship after almost two years together.

According to various reports, it was Selena who pulled the plug on the relationship sometime last week.
The two first sparked dating rumors in November 2010 when they were spotted dining together at an IHOP, but didn't go public with their relationship until February 2011.

Gomez was often the target of rabid Bieber fans, who constantly attacked her for dating their beloved Biebs.

The couple battled break up rumors multiple times-most recently earlier this week when justin was seen hitting up a broadway play with a group of people that included 19 year old Victoria's secret model, Barbara Palvin.

So we are guessing he'll be just fine.

The Game Wants Cheating Legalized, says "Every Man Cheats"

The Game and his Family

Earlier this week, the Game stopped by Power 105.1′s Breakfast Club Morning show to promote his upcoming reality show, Marrying The Game which also features his fiancee and baby mother Tiffany Cambridge.  Now, just the other day rapper Fabolous revealed that he doesn't see marriage in his future because the ring and paper changes things, but at least he was honest.  The Game seems as though he only put a ring on it because it was the right thing to do, but he’s obviously not ready.

During his interview, he revealed that he believes cheating may as well be legalized [in a marriage] because all men do it. He also revealed that he would not understand if a woman cheated and that he was dragged into doing the reality show by his fiancee who wanted extra money.

Peep a few excerpts, below:
On cheating being legalized
It would make it easier for women. The truth is every man cheats. Fat men, skinny men, basketball player, guy who can’t play, nerds, smart guy, it doesn’t matter. A woman is better off assuming exactly what I said. You’ll be better off that way.
On if he would understand if a woman were to cheat
I would never understand. You know the balance. It [would be] over with. That’s how it goes.
On his decision to do a reality show
[Tiffany] wanted to be on a reality show. She’s a school teacher and she wanted extra money on top of what I give her, which I thought was crazy, but you know she dragged me down to the VH1 meetings and she was already seven meetings in. She lied to me and told me it was the first one. This had been going on for months.
Ouch!!! What happened to the sanctity of marriage?

Rihanna Chats with Facebook: Talks Chris Brown Duet, Memorable Career Moment, and Wanting to Be

Riri during her promo rounds

Slow down, Rihanna! This girl has to be the hardest working woman in the business right now. When does she sleep?

Yesterday, Riri literally changed clothes all day as she hit up different promo appearances around the city to promote her upcoming album, Unapologetic.  During one of her promo stops, she sat down with Bravo’s Andy Cohen for an intimate facebook discussion with her fans.

She covered a lot of ground during the chat including the message behind her newest duet, “Nobody’s Business” with Chris Brown, her desire to be the black Madonna and her most memorable career moment. She also dished on who has inspired her the most, what she likes to crank when she’s in the car and what she thinks of Beyonce.

Catch a few highlights below:
There’s a duet with Chris Brown. He’s saying, “I wanna make you mine, and it a’int nobody’s business.” And you’re going back and forth, so is the message of that song as obvious as it appears?
“Nobodies Business” is basically the way I look at everything regarding my personal life. Even though you have to witness it, it’s being documented at every second, it is still mine. When it comes to my music, I’ll give and I’ll give and I’ll give. I just feel like I need to keep a little bit for me and I’ll get to decide.
It still becomes a conversation because you’re putting it out there.
I’m not putting it out there as much as it’s just there. I can’t run away from there. If I had it my way, it would be really nobody’s business.  I can’t escape that, and it sucks, but whatever.
I read early in your career that you wanted to be the black Madonna.
You know what, Madonna is one of those artist that she was very self expressive, she was bold, she was fearless, and all those things that I looked up to. As a young woman I wanted to be all of those things. I wanted to really just be myself, feel free to express it and not be afraid of what people would think about it.
At what point do you feel like you have made it? At what point do you feel like you are the Black Madonna?
There will never be another Madonna. At this point I am just so good with being Rihanna. I love her. I’m cool, I’m OK. Madonna is still the sh-t, she’s still the queen, she’s awesome.
Madonna is actually 30 years older than you are. Where do you want to be in 30 years?
In 30 years, I will be 54? I want to be skinny. I want to be fierce. I hope my tits are still sitting up. These are the things that I really want at 54. Nothing else will matter at that point.
Why is the album called unapologetic?
Because it’s very true. It’s raw, it’s honest, and it’s story telling. Each song, and even the way it flows on the album, it takes you on a journey all the way to…that’s just the half of it. It can only be one way, there can only be one truth, and you can’t apologize for that. That’s why I call it that.
Who inspires you the most?
My grandma, still. She’s just a complete woman. If I can even become half of that, I will be in great hands.
What song do you crank on the radio in the car?
Ratchet Navy coming out…”Bands”, “Love” and “Pop That.”
Is it hard to remain you with all of your success at such a young age?
No. It can be easy to be led astray, or caught up and sucked into the fame, and the bright lights, but I have alot of people around me that I have known since my childhood. A lot of people I trust. My big brothers Jay-Z, Jabron, and Ty Ty. They are my back bone and I’m in super good hands with them. They keep me grounded, they keep me in check. My mother is still my mother, and she also checks me on the regular.
How did the hurricane have an effect on you as a person?
It’s really difficult to see something so tragic going on and not being able to do anything about it. It’s nothing you can control. It’s mother nature and it gets worse and it gets worse and you keep holding your breath. It’s really sad what happened here. Tomorrow I will be donating $100,000 to the Food Bank of NYC. I’m also doing a listening party at the 40/40. Everybody’s asked to donate some blankets, bleach, cleaning, brooms, sleeping bags, and they get to listen to the album if they donate. And they have to donate it to the Daily News Hurricane Relief Fund.
What has been the highlight of your career?
I had a couple moments where I felt like [it was the highlight of my career]. My first Grammy, I felt like “Oh My God! This is not real.” Like, my dream was not even to get a Grammy, but here I am with one. It was sick. What I wanted to do my whole life was buy my mom a house so when I was able to do that, I was like “YEAH.” That was just a dream.
